We at the Center were saddened to hear the news of the death of Christian Habicht at the age of 92. Prof. Habicht was a professor in the School of Historical Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study and was a friend of the Center. He gave the inaugural address, “Athens in the Hellenistic Period 323-30 BC,” at the Center's opening in 1990. Our sympathies to Professor Habicht's family and friends. He will be missed.

The Insitute for Advanced Study published a memorial to Professor Habicht, where he was still an active member of the School.
