News of our students: Michael Jean

Michael Jean, a doctoral candidate in the Department of Greek and Latin, was accepted into the newly established Palaeography Diploma Course sponsored by the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies in Toronto which is held in alternate years at the Vatican and in Toronto. Michael received a Nicholas Howe Research Award from The Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and a Charles Babcock Rome Prize from the Department of Greek and Latin in support of his research. Most recently, he gave a paper to the Neo-Latin session of the APA conference entitled, "Thomasso Schifaldo's Commentary on Ovid's Epistula Sapphus."
